Alternatives, Inc. in Raritan, NJ is looking to hire a Director of Behavioral Supports (BCBA) to supervise a team of Behavior Specialists and provide ABA therapies to adults with developmental disabilities.

The Director of Behavioral Supports (BCBA) oversees the Behavioral Support Department staff (BCBA's, Behavior Specialists, RBT's) including assignment of duties, instruction of methods, and employee appraisals. The Director will provide consultation regarding effective behavioral programming, approval of FBAs and Behavior Plans submitted by Behavior Support staff through the process of development, approval, implementation, training, on-going review, to discharge. The Director oversees and/or provides, if necessary, Behavior Analytic services to individual clients, including conducting assessments and staff training, in-services, and attending staff/clinical meetings.

The Director, is involved in the development and implementation of Policies and Procedures related to the department. The Director is responsible for ensuring overall quality assurance within the department, such as staff monitoring and maintaining staff productivity, organizing external approval of units and strategies in order to properly bill for supports, attending committees and meetings to review incidents and behavioral issues. The Director collaborates with guardians, Support Coordinators, and other professionals outside of the agency, when appropriate, to meet the needs of clients. The Director also trains and supervises the physical management procedures. The Director will be familiar with NJ DDD licensing standards, and will act in accordance with all policies.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree & BCBA certification required
• 5 years experience as certified BCBA required
• Supervisory experience required
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks/drug screen
• Clear tuberculosis screening
• A valid driver's license, no more than 5 points or DUI in last 3 years

FT: Oversee Behavioral Supports Department which consists of: supervising BCBAs, Behavior Specialists, RBTs, and staff gaining clinical hours; ensuring all clients have the appropriate documentation in order to bill; work directly with our Quality Assurance department regarding audits, quality of care, make certain all staff documentation is billable; develop and maintain policies and procedures within DDD and BACB guidelines; safety care trainer and ability to authorize restraints; document client observations, complete functional behavioral assessments, develop comprehensive behavior/treatment plans, model and train direct support staff on plan implementation, data trending analysis. Must be able to supervise RBTs and individuals obtaining BACB certification. 5 years of BCBA certification and supervisory experience required.

Must possess valid NJ/NY/PA driver's license
